The book I read to research this post was Selling On Amazon by Ben Evans which is a very good book that I downloaded for free from kindle. I’ve done a little bit of selling on Amazon but I think I learned quite a lot from this guide. It is only a very brief guide but covers a lot of the various services Amazon offers to sellers and in many cases buyers. There is fulfillment by Amazon where you send your good to Amazon and they post them on your behalf. There is Amazon where customers subscribe for a flat fee that ensures them first class postage on goods free. Sellers who subscribe to this get a set amount to cover the postage. One of the benefits of this is customer subscribers tend to be people who buy lots of stuff. There is a professional & individual plan for sellers. On the indiviual plan which is cheaper sellers can only sell a gross total of $10,000 per year and can’t sell more than 40 items in a month. You can often do a deal for stock with nearby factories for cheap stock. Many of these will let you buy a small amount of stock just to get started. There are many foreign businesses who advertise for buyers to resell their goods but with these you generally have to buy stock in bulk although often they will let you be an exclusive reseller in your region or country.I reall enjoyed this book and would recommend it.
