The book I read to research this post was Content Marketing for Dummies by Susan Gunelius which is an excellent book which I got from kindle. Although this book is primarily geared towards promoting things like blogs on the web it could be applied to other things like products & services indeed it has got me quite excited with ideas about how to promote my blogs. Obviously one idea if you are promoting something is to have a blog and they recommend either wordpress or google blogger. Another idea is to join social networking sites especially facebook and twitter. Yet another idea is to subscribe to bookmarking sites like digg and stumbleupon although it is best to just submit your best posts for them to vote on. I like the idea of a podcast which can be submitted to sites like ipodder & itunes. They suggest a webcast although it needs a lot of promoting to be a success. YouTube can have videos uploaded onto it about what you are promoting. If you are promoting a blog doing guest blogs for someone is an idea as it’s attracting an another audience to your blog. Also commenting on other peoples blogs.

The book I read to research this post was Brilliant Internet by Dom Brookman which is an excellent book which I got from the library. The website for this service is http://www.live365.com and music lovers should be in their element with the thousands of stations it covers. Indeed you can even set up your own internet radio station on this site. There is 2 types of membership basic which is free and preferred member where you get more stations & cd quality sound but you pay for that.  If you hear a track & like it, it is also possible to buy it.
