The book I read to research this post was Blackberry for Dummies 4th edition by Robert Kao et al. This post covers the 9700, the pearl 9100 and 9105, the curve 8500 and the bold 9700. I thought I’d cover sat nav in this post. There are 4 GPS apps which work with blackberry which are blackberry maps which is included free, google maps which is also free, garmin mobile which is a paid app and telenav gps navigator for a monthly fee. Telenav & garmin are gps only and the other 2 work with or without gps. Telenav is designed to be used as a sat nav in the car. With all 4 sat nav programs you can type in an address and they will direct you there. They suggest you have an unlimited data plan if you use the gps feature a lot on your blackberry.
